The 2016 Asian Women’s Cup Volleyball Championship started in Vinh Phuc on September 14 and finished on September 20. Iranian girls stood 6th in the championship. The Chinese Taipei women’s national volleyball team has defeated the Iranian side to finish fifth at the end of the 2016 Asian Women’s Cup Volleyball Championship in Vietnam.

On Tuesday, the Taiwanese squad defeated Iran 3-1, with the set scores of 25-21, 25-21, 23-25 and 25-22, in the 5th place match held at Vinh Phuc Gym in the mountainous and northern Vietnamese city of Vinh Phuc.

Both teams started with almost the same level in the opening set, and exchanged aggressive attacks to assert their dominance over the court. Taiwanese sportswomen then exhibited more individual talents and stormed on to win the first set 25-21.

In the second set, Chinese Taipei’s 180-centimeter-tall Chang Chen-Yin used her height advantage to block and attack well to put her team ahead 20-14.

Iran struck back, and Mahsa Saberi and Maedeh Borhani Esfahani managed to narrow the deficit to 21-16. Chinese Taipei’s robust defense, however, disallowed the Iranians to accumulate more points and the East Asians clinched the set 25-21.

Iranian volleyball players clawed their way back as the match went into the third set, and closed it out 25-23.

The fourth set turned out to be fairly tense and competitive as both squads used all at their disposal to move ahead. The Iranians led narrowly 20-18, but their Taiwanese opponents could retain the lead and claimed the set 25-22 to win the match.

Borhani Esfahani led Iran with 12 points, while Wu Wei-Hua was the top scorer for Chinese Taipei with 16 points.

The 2016 Asian Women’s Cup Volleyball Championship started in Vinh Phuc on September 14 and finished on September 20.

The Baloch are the majority ethnic inhabitants of the region of Balochistan in Iran. They speak Rakhshani Balochi, an Iranian language.
Approximately 25 percent of the Baloch population lives in Iran: media reports indicate there are 1.5 million Baloch in Iran.  The utter vast majority of the Baloch population reside in Pakistan, and a significant number i.e. 600,000 reside in southern Afghanistan.
In Iran, the Baloch are divided into two groups: the Sarhadi and the Makorani. The cities such as Iranshahr, Chabahar, Nikshahr, Sarbaz, and Saravan are known as the Makoran region, while Zahedan and Khash are known as Sarhad region.
The government of Iran has been trying to reverse this situation by implementing new plans such as the creation of the Chabahar Free Trade Zone.
