The first debate among the six candidates of the 12th Iranian presidential election has been aired live on state television.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The candidates outlined their plans for the post. They were\u00a0given an equal time to garner as many votes as possible in order to win the ticket to the office.<\/p>\n

The live broadcast, which lasted for three hours,\u00a0aimed\u00a0to reduce the candidates\u2019 campaign spending and pave the way for eligible voters to make their choice based on the sharp-cut and unambiguous plans represented during the program.<\/p>\n

The six candidates running for the presidential election are Seyed Mostafa Aqa-Mirsalim, Seyed Mostafa Hashemi-Taba, Es\u2019haq Jahangiri, Hassan Rouhani, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf and Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi.<\/p>\n

Iranians will go to the polls on May 19 to elect the country\u2019s next president.<\/p>\n
