Abu Ismail Khajeh Abdullah Ansari (1006-1088), a devout Sufi, was born in the Persian Empire town of Herat. Ansari was known as “The Pious One” during his lifetime. He wrote several books concerning philosophy and religion during his lifetime including “Munajatnameh”.
